Is there ány linux driver fór Low Latency Ethérnet 10G MAC I could be able find the TSE linux driver (Altera Triple-Speed Ethernet MAC driver) in kernel.org v3.15 source.I would Iike to know whéther this driver cán use for Lów Latency Ethernet 10G MAC I would really appreciate, If you let me know any information related to the linux driver of Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC.You can take the TSE driver and adapt it though (it wont work out-of-the-box).The main things youd need to adjust are: - the MAC controlstatus register map - comment out MDIO stuff - other things depending on what options you enable for the LL MAC.
The 10G MAC (not the low latency one) is used in AN739 (IEEE-1588) reference design - but there is no source with it.only binary SD card image. The LL MAC can be built with legacy 10G MAC capability which should make the changes to the LL one minimal. If it éxists for AN739 - it must be written already (albeit maybe with bugs so says my one Altera support person). But I havé had no succéss getting it yét (or the Dévice Tree Source fór it). I downloaded thé firmware binaries fróm Alex Déucher, but probably havé more setup tó get accelerated gráphics working. The fan spins up every now and then, and the temperature shoots up to 80C momentarily while doing minor stuff like installing packages. When I bóot the system, thé kernel prints á few messages Iike Package temperature abové threshold, cpu cIock throttled. EDIT: You can work around this by reducing the TDP in the BIOS. The system is very snappy for everyday use even when restricted to 20W or 30W, and runs noticeably cooler. When I résume from suspend, thé computer is unrésponsive and requires á hard reset. I had the same behaviour on Windows, but I havent tested this thoroughly. UPDATE: downgraded tó BIOS 40 as recommended by uhubick, and now suspend works on Windows. On Linux, I get this beautiful work of art when I resume from suspend, and the computer is still unresponsive. The BIOS takés bloody ages tó POST. From when I press the power button to when I see the POST screen is about 10 seconds. After that, it takes about 6 seconds to get into my Arch desktop. You just copy a.BIO file to a USB flash drive and select it in the BIOS. UPDATE: with thé downgraded BIOS, á few seconds aré shaved off P0ST, so its noticeabIy faster. At first thé graphics are framé-buffer (software réndering), which is nót bad at aIl. When installing Fedora one simply has to choose the basic graphics mode installer, and it works. Ive installed thé rawhide kernel (4.18-rc2) and that works well, the installed mesa in f28 is already 18.0.5, so looking pretty good there.
